Julia Lundy

Julia Lundy is a visual artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Kutztown University in 2024 with a BFA in Studio Art and a BS in Art Education. Her oil paintings are inspired by her studies in art history and anthropology, fueling her understandings of the contemporary human experience. She engages with the physical landscape of the body to examine themes of womanhood, self-perception, connection, and transformation. Viewing painting as a translation of reality, Lundy manipulates space, color, and form to create figurative paintings that are suspended between beauty and grotesque. She is currently continuing her studies as an MFA candidate at the SMFA at Tufts University.
